                 Bus-Trip: Budapest, Bratislava, Vienna, and Prague

 

The Eckwalls, Minnesotans who traveled with the Faith Church group to Eastern Europe, are very happy to provide a reference/letter of recommendation for our wonderful guide, Jan.  We can honestly say that Jan's presence made the trip so much more than just a "tour."

By starting every morning with a carefully selected Psalm, Jan set the perfect tone for appreciating each day.  His knowledge of the different cultures, his grasp of the history of the different areas, his familiarity with the history of the church, were all indications of a lot of pre-trip study and preparation.  Because of Jan's sharing about cultures and histories, our group was able to have an experience that was far greater than just "sight seeing."

We were very aware that Jan's day didn't always end with the return to the hotel.  He was mindful of the individual needs and concerns of each participant, and went out of his way - even after hours - to see that everyone had the best-possible experience.  Traveling with Jan was like no other tour we've been on.  He made each member of the group feel that he/she was being guided by a friend.  We are confident that any group using Jan's service will be richly rewarded.

Our group was privileged to have Jan as our guide during a recent trip to Central Europe. 

 

He proved to be an outstanding tour leader. Fluent in several languages, knowledgeable in social, political

economic and religious history, he added depth and breadth  to all our activities during the two weeks we

were with him.

 

Jan is organized, efficient, hard working, gracious and  personable, as well as humorous. We had a lot of fun

with him. I would want him as our tour leader on any future trips our group plans.

I thoroughly enjoyed the trip.  Much of that was due to your wonderful leadership.  You were well organized and very knowledgeable. The presentations of information were easy to listen to when you added your light-hearted comments and personal experiences.  I especially appreciated the individual attention you gave to those of us who had special requests.  Arranging the trip to the Spa in Budapest is just one example of that.  I was grateful for your help with arranging the visit to see my relatives.  My brothers were especially appreciative to be able to see Dalecin where our father was born. I have been on many tours and there is no doubt in my mind that the leadership on this tour was exceptional!
