Reference Three Busses of Genealogists
I have known Jan for 17 years and highly recommend him. He has an excellent knowledge of Czech & Slovak history, culture and current business practices. His Czech and English language skills are outstanding.
Jan was employed a tour host for a two week Central European Tour. The tour originated in Minnesota and included Budapest, Bratislava, Vienna, the Czech Moravian Highlands and Prague. Thirty-five people participated in the tour. As tour host he delivered talks on Czech & Slovak history, customs, culture and wholesome Czech humor. When local guides lacked communication skills, Jan repeatedly and extemporaneously bridged the gap.
He was employed as a multilingual administrative assistant for the Czechoslovak Genealogical Society International Back to the Homeland Conference in Bratislava and Praha. During the four years prior to the conference, he assisted in conference planning, including negotiating the major bus transportation contract (3-forty passenger buses). He coordinated the schedules and buses for the 5-day meeting. One hundred and twenty-five people participated in the conference. His abilities as interpreter are exceptional. His 24/7 attention to detail resolved potential problems insuring a smooth and continuous schedule.
Jan also organized a post Central European Tour for a small group of my relatives. He provided the vehicle, driver, escort and interpreter (from and return to hotel) complete services. There was not a moment wasted with this ancestral village visit.
Again, Jan’s Czech/English and English/Czech language skills are unique. He has lived in the USA two full years. He was worked as a youth camp coordinator in Pennsylvania for several years.
